Eastern Cape Hunters Safari Company is a Close Corporation operating as a hunting outfitter, primarily in the Eastern Cape region of South Africa. The hunting partners, Jim and Neil, are both registered Professional Hunters with years of experience between them.  ECHSC operates from their hunting lodge within 90 minutes' driving proximity from Port Elizabeth called Koffylaagte Game Lodge and Tented Camp. The lodge is located in the Darlington Dam area just off the R75 to Graaff-Reinet and is in the heart of Eastern Cape’s most rewarding hunting area. Although this luxury lodge is used as a base, ECHSC extends its hunting activities to many other privately owned and national hunting concessions in the region. The concessions we hunt exceed a total of 30.000 acres of pristine hunting grounds. We offer our hunters a diverse variety of species and aspire to bag the best trophy.

ACCOMMODATION

Eastern Cape Hunters caters for dedicated hunters who wish to devote all their time to hunting as well as offering ‘Hunting and Holiday’ combo programs designed to serve the needs of families or couples. During the hunting expedition “The Base Camp” is Koffylaagte Game Lodge, located 130 km from Port Elizabeth, right in the heart of the prime hunting area of the Eastern Cape. During the "city and beach" stay in the Hunting & Holiday combo programs, accommodation is provided by the 4 star beachfront boutique hotel in Port Elizabeth, namely Cape Flame Guest House.

Base Camp

Koffylaagte Game Lodge is a privately owned game reserve in extent of 1800 hectares. The reserve is home to 22 species of Southern African antelope, including the largest of them all i.e. the Eland, elusive game such as Gemsbuck, Waterbuck and Nyala, large herds of Impala, both the common and the white Blesbuck, the Black and the Blue Wildebeest, Cape Hartebeest, Bushbuck, Mountain Reedbuck and other species of antelope, as well as huge trophy Kudu bulls, Burchells Zebra, Warthog, Bushpig, White Rhino and many other mammals such as Genet, Black Backed Jackal, Lynx, Bat Eared Fox, Ant Eater, Porcupine, etc. Koffylaagte Game Lodge comprises a luxury Hunter’s Lodge with 2 double bedrooms , 2 bathroom and a communal kitchen and dining area and is stationed at the foot of the mountain, 500mt a way from the main lodge facilities..This cottage can accommodate up to 6 hunters as is and more with added tents around the camp site which can use the additional ablution facility built for this purpose. Koffylaagte Game Lodge serves as a wildlife campus for the Stenden University, for their wildlife courses. Cape Flame Guest House

Cape Flame Guest House is a boutique hotel located on the beach front in Port Elizabeth. Cape Flame is a TGCSA graded 4 star establishment, consisting of 10 en-suite bedrooms with all the luxury touches and amenities including A/C, separate shower and bath, mini-bar, tea & coffee tray, etc..
